Topic: Media as a scapegoat
This is a photograph of an abused women that was placed in a Bulgarian magazine called "12 Magazine". It glamorizes abuse among women. Many people blame the media and ads like this for displaying violence against women and sending the message that violence is okay. The woman in the photo, although having a black eye, is still depicted as beautiful and glamorous.Photoshop version:
I replaced the model's bruised eye and I added freckles to her face to make her look more realistic (not that she looks fake). I also just added the word 'beauty' rather than "Victim of Beauty". This photo shows a different side of beauty.
